Track 23 - 23rd of April (Bombarde + Andy Busuttil on darabukha, tapan, def, dayra & req)
For this track I invited my good friend Andy Busuttil to join me. Andy is a musician and sound engineer (www.bluemountainsound.com.au) and all round lovely guy. He has mastered and recorded various albums of mine over the years and for this track he puts on his percussionist hat and has sent me an Arabic percussion groove played on tabla (darabukha), tapan, def, dayra & req. I then added some Bombarde (3 layers). I made this particlar bombarde from Mulga (Acacia Aneura) and have actually used the bore measurement taken from a gaita galega (Spanish bagpipe).
