about

This track was written for my APRIL project where every single day of April 2020 I conceived, recorded and uploaded a new piece of music to create a 30 track album to raise funds for OXFAM.

It features a Mk9 Cylisax made from Budgeroo (Lysicarpus angustifolius). I've multi-tracked 4 Cylisax lines and all the percussion tracks are created with the sounds of the Tasmanian Devil and the bassline and kik drum are made from the sound of the Black Drum Fish - all played with my midi wind controller (“Lyrebird" - Yamaha WX5). This piece came out of nowhere. When I walked into the studio to write and record it, I was thinking it would be a slow groove using Humpback and Beluga Whale sounds ....but something else sprung into being.
